The Refuge 





The Carbonetto refuge, completely renovated in 2014, stands at an altitude of 1,874 metres in the Arma valley on the road that connects Demonte to the Colle di Fauniera. 

The refuge can be accessed by car on an asphalt road and it has a small car park. 

It can also be reached from the Grana valley, across the Colle di Fauniera, and from the Maira valley, across the Colle delle Esischie. 

It is located at the bottom of the Viribianc mountain chain and boasts a panoramic terrace overlooking the Arma valley and Savi and Salé mountains.

As to nature, the area offers a rich biodiversity, both for what concerns flowers (lilies, tulips, edelweiss, gentianella, etc.) and wild animals (groundhogs, deer, steinbocks, chamois, eagles, etc..).

Bar and restaurant, 12 beds located in 3 comfortable rooms, sun terrace, hot shower, gas heater, electricity with solar panels, car park.



Opening time

Summer minimun seasonal opening:

  •  From the 1/6 to the 14/6 on the weekends
  •  From the 15/6 to the 15/9 every day
  •  From the 16/9 to the30/9 on the weekends 

Possible opening out of season.



Cousine

At the refuge you will find the traditional dishes made with the typical products from the area. Thanks to the cooperation with the herdsmen of the valley you can savour the high-pasture cheese with a unique flavour. Homemade pasta and desserts will make your stay even more enjoyable.
